Why We Started the Business
A friend went to take his tractor to a dealer to get the hydraulic leaks fixed. He was quoted $13,000 for a whole component replacement instead of replacing just the seals. He asked me if I would take a look at it and I fixed it. The parts ran about $500 for all the seals and gaskets and only took me 16 hours. The shop had told him 4 days. When he took it in for a quote, they didn’t even clean off the areas where the leaks were to find out exactly what was leaking. One component they had said was leaking was not; it was actually the O-rings on hydraulic fittings above that component.
I was upset about the fact that they were just going to throw parts at it, and potentially not even fix the issue, wasting a ton of my friend’s time and money. I figured with my skills and knowledge, I could start a business and help people in our community by coming to them and repairing their equipment on-site, like I already do not only at work, but also for friends and family.
